All participants, who wish to, have an opportunity to lead a discussion or workshop.
Our Yahoo discussion forum is the place to propose and discuss your ideas and offerings in advance of the gathering.
This group has usually been mostly inactive before January in past years but this year is likely to pick up earlier. It is vitally important for potential attendees to follow the list because there will be much practical discussion of the program (who wants to do what?), travel and
housing arrangements, etc. While our groups in Facebook or the Michael
Students Community website are also available, for this gathering, the Yahoo group is a better resource because it allows you to catch up on past posts easily. This group is a great way to ask questions about the gathering, post ideas and get quick feedback!
Each gathering evolves to become its own beautifully unique event.
Using a participant-focused format, we can co-create workshops
and discussions that reflect the spirit and interests of those attending.
If you have an interest leading a discussion or workshop, please let us know!
Individuals who wish to have personal channeling at the Gathering can
contact the attending channels individually for their availability and fees.
Our yahoo group site will keep you up to date on the attending channels.
If you aren't sure if your favorite channel is attending...ask that channel!
Channels are not paid, however we do help offset the cost of travel with a small stipend.
Gathering Fees:
Prices are listed in the Registration forms.
Prices are as reasonable as possible and no one profits from the event.
This event is not about money...it is about creating a community of learning.
Space is limited, in 2012 we can accommodate 70 participants however only 45 can be housed for overnight accommodations on the lovely Sevenoaks Campus.
IF YOU ARE A SMOKER, PLEASE BE AWARE
THAT SEVENOAKS HAS ONLY ONE SMALL
AREA TO SMOKE.
(a picnic table 100 yards from the dining hall --
NO smoking is allowed near any other area.)
So get your registration in early!!! First come, first served.
We will post it here, when we have filled the available on site beds so those who wait too long to submit their registration might have to arrange sleeping accommodations off campus.
(see our wonderful B&B and Hotel page-- many options are available!!)
If you need some questions answered, do not hesitate to ask!
Sevenoaks Retreat Center sits on a beautiful 130 acre woodland property, with a river and pond, and nature trails, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, just 20 miles north of Charlottesville, Virginia. It is stunningly beautiful and has a lovely energy.
